CLEMSON - Arizona pounded Clemson on the offensive glass, grabbing 20 rebounds and scoring 18 second-chance points.

Box Score

The eighth-ranked Wildcats used their success on the boards in route to a 66-54 win over the Tigers at Littlejohn Coliseum.

Arizona head coach Sean Miller noted offensive rebounding as one of his taem's best attributes.

"If you look at our team, that's an area where we have a lot of depth and talent, and it was in place tonight," he said.

It was frustrating for Brad Brownell to watch.

"I talked to our guys. We want to limit their 3's. We want to keep them off the line and we want to do our best on the boards," he said. "We didn't do our best on the boards. There were a lot of loose balls, extra possession they go that hurt us.

"I'm anxious to watch the film and see what that was a result of...some of it might be being out-toughed, so I'm anxious to see, really anxious to watch this film."

Said K.J. McDaniels, who scored 13 points and grabbed four rebounds, "We just have to be more physical and box out more."

Wearing down at the end…

"They did a lot of things. They set a lot of screens, got some offensive rebounds, they hit free-throws, we didn't. They hit 17 of 20 from the free-throw line. We hit 9 of 17. That played a big role in us losing by 12, and that 30-8 run." - Adonis Filer

Free-throw woes…

"Free-throws are always definitely key. This week, we've got to get in the gym and get extra free-throws in. It's something we've got to work on." - Filer

Filer's spark off the bench…

"He had a bad stretch at one time. I was really disappointed. I thought he didn't play very well, wasn't locked in -- didn't do some things we talked about. Then, I thought he came back in and got his confidence and was aggressive." - Brownell

"He always brings a spark, so it really wasn't surprising to me. I knew he was going to come in and play as hard as he could. Having him, it's helpful to have little things like that come in." - McDaniels

More from the head coach…

"Certainly disappointed with the outcome after we fought so hard, to get the lead in the middle of the second half, thought we didn't play well early. I don't know if it was the moment, the game. It was taking our guys a while to adjust to it.

"But, when we finally got adjusted and got our legs under us, I thought we played some really good basketball for a good position. But, then, we also had some really poor plays -- offensive turnovers, a bunch of steals for them, just things you can't do against a team of this talent level." - Brownell

"We also had some poor offensive execution. We didn't run some things the right way. That's disappointing to me, because we worked on a lot of things this week. I thought we'd be better." - Brownell

"I want to thank our fans for coming out. They were terrific. They gave us a big lift in the middle of the game. Just disappointed we couldn't send them out with a better result, better ending." - Brownell
