"This is a great opportunity for us to show the strength of our program," said Brandon Ford. It's another opportunity to play against one of the high quality team, that being LSU."
Since Les Miles took over in Baton Rouge in 2005, LSU has won 85 games, two SEC titles and one national championship.
"They're a great team, great coaching, great players, and I think if we can win this game, it will speak so much for our program, as well as our conference," Ford said.
No more distractions…For a veteran like Dalton Freeman, it's relatively easy to look past any potential distractions.
Over the last few weeks, the status of offensive coordinator Chad Morris loomed large. Now that everyone knows for sure that Morris isn't going to Texas Tech, N.C. State or South Florida, there is no more potential for distraction.
"Our focus from here on out can be 100 percent on LSU," Freeman said. "No school, no splitting time with everything else."
New indoor facility…Last week, the Clemson football team moved into its new digs when the indoor practice facility was cleared for occupancy.
Florida guys like Sammy Watkins are happy to spend those cold weather practices inside.
"It was a big welcome home to me. It's real warm in there. You're sweating. It's like you're getting a good workout in. you're not outside worrying about bad grass or anything.
"It's a good accomplishment for the whole Clemson organization, to get the inside facility."
