Under Armour AA Game: UM Recruits (defense)

The Under Armour All-American Game is set to take place on January 4th. Seven Hurricane defensive recruits will be playing so lets take a closer look at them.

Tim Williams -- One of the top prospects in the state of Louisiana, Williams has been actively recruited by Miami all year. He seems to want to play his college ball in the state of Florida. Despite a lot of heavy interest from schools like LSU and Alabama early on, Williams has always listed Miami and Florida State at the top of his list. He will visit here in January, and could be a battle between the Canes and Noles in the end. At 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds, he's a four-star prospect on Scout.

Chris Jones -- Considered one of the top two prospects in the state of Mississippi, Jones has been committed to Mississippi State. However he hold Scout two weeks ago that Miami's been actively recruiting him lately and that he may be taking a January visit here. It's up in the air whether that visit will happen or not, and seems like a general longshot.

Dee Liner -- Widely considered one of the nation's premier pass rushers, Liner had been committed to Auburn but decided to open things back up some after their coaching change. He hasn't really talked recruiting that much to the media but has hinted at possibly visiting Miami in January. It's a major longshot here, but he's someone to keep an eye on.

Matthew Thomas -- Miami's top linebacker target from day one it seems, Thomas is an outstanding football player from the state champion Booker T Washington program. At 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, Thomas is a great athlete and knows the game very well. He will likely play from day one. Alabama and Florida State seem like the top competition but he's also considering USC and Georgia as well.

Reuben Foster -- Considered the nation's top linebacker prospect by Scout, Foster is the real deal. At 6-foot-1 and 235 pounds, he had been committed to Auburn for awhile. He lives there, and has a tattoo of them on his arm. However, he opened back up when they changed coaches. Now he plans to see Washington, Georgia, and Miami in January for visits. Alabama is also heavily involved. Miami seems like a longshot but they're still being mentioned so you never know.

Yannick Ngakoue -- One of the top prospects in the Washington DC area this year, Ngakoue is a talented linebacker prospect who plans on taking January visits to Miami, Florida State, and South Carolina. Maryland is also involved. If he decides to leave his home area, Miami is very much in the running. At 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds, he's a big linebacker who has an offer from the Canes.

Artie Burns -- One of the top defensive back prospects in the state of Florida, Burns comes from traditional powerhouse Miami Northwestern. At 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds, he's tremendously athletic and has the ability to play either cornerback or safety. Miami is recruiting him to play corner.
