Several members of Scout's national recruiting team are at the event covering all the action. There is some news to discuss on a few UM prospects.
* 4-star DE Alquadin Muhammad
confirmed that he will be announcing his decision at the game on Saturday. At 6-foot-4 and 230 pounds, he's considered one of the nation's best at his position. He says his four finalists are Miami
, Alabama, Notre Dame, and Rutgers. He's never visited Bama, and they appear to be a major longshot. He'd been favoring Notre Dame all year but then had his visit canceled there recently. He's been to Rutgers a few times for unofficial visits, and Miami was the only school he took an official visit to. It appears to be 50/50 right now between the Canes and Scarlet Knights. If you remember, Miami lost out to 5-star DL Darius Hamilton
(same high school) last January. This one could go either way on Saturday.
* 5-star RB Derrick Green is one of Miami's top remaining targets at the running back position. The Virginia standout told Scout tonight that Michigan is his current favorite. He's also visited Auburn and Tennessee but both schools went through coaching changes recently. He says those three schools, along with Florida State and Miami, are still in the running. Green will likely visit Miami in January before signing with Michigan on Signing Day.
* 4-star WR Marquez North (North Carolina) has not yet arrived at the game because of an injury. At 6-foot-3 and 210 pounds, North is an elite WR prospect who is considering taking a visit to Miami next month. The Canes remain a longshot, however.
