New school in the mix for Cunningham

Jordan Cunningham has been taking his recruiting process slowly and thoroughly and it looks like a new school has jumped into the picture. The 2013 wide receiver says he's been talking to Vanderbilt coaches a lot lately and will take an official visit there before making a final decision.

Jordan Cunningham has officially visited Stanford and Oklahoma State and it looks like Vanderbilt is next on his list. The Commodores are new to the picture for the University School (Fort Lauderdale, FL) wide receiver, but he says the program seems to fit the mold of what he's looking for.

"Obviously, the academics jumped out. Coach (Josh) Gattis – I really like him as a receivers coach. He hit me up on Facebook a couple of weeks ago and we just started talking," Cunningham said.

"They should have a good season next year, they had a pretty good season next year. They should be a good ‘best of both worlds' type of school."

Cunningham has maintained for quite some time that academics are very important to him. He says Vanderbilt, Stanford, and Miami seem to fit that mold the best. He also plans to take an official visit to Florida State and may even see Alabama before it's all said and done.

"Academics, playing time, type of offense, and a good relationship with the coaches (are most important to me)."

Right now, Cunningham has not named a leader and he expects his decision to go until Signing Day. Stay tuned to FOX Sports NEXT for the latest.
