Hoops: Arizona 69, Miami 50

The University of Miami Men's Basketball team lost to Arizona in the second game of the Diamond Head Classic today by the score of 69-50.

The Hurricanes took an 8-1 record into this game to take on 10-0 and nationally-ranked Arizona. The Canes weren't real competitive, as they were playing without standout Reggie Johnson for the second straight game.

The Wildcats took a 12-point halftime lead, and never looked back. The Canes had the lead just one time in this game, and it was real early in it.

Kenny Kadji (19) and Durand Scott (15) were the top scorers for Miami in the game. The Canes grabbed just 20 rebounds as a team, compared to 46 for Arizona. They simply were overmatched inside by a bigger, more physical Wildcat team.

Scott, Kadji, Shane Larkin, Rion Brown, and Julian Gamble were the starters for the Hurricanes for the second straight game.

Miami is now 8-2 on the season, and will take on Indiana State in their third and final game of the tournament.
