Demetrius Henry is one of eight top 100 prospects still available in the 2013 recruiting class.
With post prospect in high demand, Henry has reeled in steady interest from Texas, Rutgers, South Florida, Miami and South Carolina, according to Fort Pierce (Fla.) Faith Baptist coach Kenny Gillion.
"All of those schools have been recruiting him from the beginning with the exception of Texas," Gillion said. "Those guys have been there from the beginning. Those have been the schools that have really stayed in there and done everything."
The plan is still for Henry to wait out his senior season before making his college choice.
"We always told them he wasn't going to sign until late," Gillion said. "Those schools that I listed haven't stopped. They call, text and come in when they can and have been getting out to the games."
Henry, a 6-foot-9, 215-pound power forward, has taken official visits to Rutgers and Clemson. He's also been to South Florida unofficially.
Henry has three possible official visits remaining. According to Gillion, Texas, Miami and South Carolina are the schools likely to get visits.
"I don't see any time in our schedule that he can do it," Gillions said. "I think he'll wait until the end of February or early March and probably do it when our basketball schedule is over."
A four-star prospect, Henry is averaging 18 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks per game.
