BOSTON -- Pack Pride talks with Mark Gottfried, Lorenzo Brown, Rodney Purvis, and Scott Wood about State's 78-73 win over Boston College.

How Confident Are You In Scott Wood?
"I've got a lot of confidence in him. We put him back in and called the play for him. I don't have any doubt in my mind that's he's going to make it. That's the way he shoots it. He made a great shot after the timeout." -- Mark Gottfried

"I honestly think I have more confidence in him than he does. Any shot he shoots is a good shot. Any shot Scott shots is a good shot, no matter what – no matter who guards him or anything." -- Rodney Purvis

How Big Was This Win?
"There are a lot of lessons we can learn today with a happy face." -- Mark Gottfried

"That's what it's about on the road. You're going to have bad calls, teams are going to make runs. If you keep your head and remain focused throughout the whole game, good things will happen at the end." -- Lorenzo Brown

"Coach said it best – you can't win them all if you don't win the first one. Any time you go on the road, it doesn't matter who you play, you have to bring you're ‘A' game and if you don't they're going to knock you off – that's just the way the ACC is. We didn't play our best basketball but at the same time we were fortunate enough to get the win." -- Scott Wood

Why Were You Scoreless For Much Of The Game?
"I think part of it was just flow. It was kind of difficult to get in a flow for that game. There were a lot of fouls called, a lot of timeouts called. I just have to do a better job of spreading the floor, getting open and working to get open. It is what it is and luckily we won." -- Scott Wood

Scott Wood's Clutch Free Throw Shooting...
"I did a free throw contest when I was like 10. I probably made 200-something in a row. But it bites you in the butt because if you miss one they're (teammates) going to let you know about it." -- Scott Wood

"It's over. He doesn't miss very many from there – and we did a good job of making sure he had the ball when they were trying to foul. They got the ball in the right guy's hands." -- Mark Gottfried

Parting Shots...
"We didn't play particularly well but we executed down the stretch, I thought, at some key times on both ends of the floor and overcame a lot of our own mistakes.

"We were our own worst enemy today and I'm not taking anything away from them but we fouled a 3-point shooter, we missed the front ends of 1-and-1s, we had defensive lapses. It's a laundry list of things where we felt like we just hurt ourselves. It's good to win and hopefully we learned a lesson that we have to play a lot better than we did today. We got the tempo in the second half a little bit more to our liking, scored 49 – we wanted to really push it and get up in the second half and score more points." -- Mark Gottfried
