UM prospects taking other visits this weekend

The University of Miami hasn't started classes for the spring semester yet so they won't be hosting any players on official visits this weekend. However, several key targets are visiting other schools this weekend. CanesTime's Mike Bakas has it covered.

OL Denver Kirkland - South Florida
At 6-foot-4 and 320 pounds, Kirkland is Miami's top remaining offensive line target it seems. The Booker T. Washington standout has already visited Ole Miss and Florida State. He'll see USF this weekend, but the Bulls seem to be the fourth school on his list for right now. Florida State seems to be Miami's top competition right now, and this one could go down to the wire.

DE/OLB Tim Williams - Alabama
The four-star pass rushing specialist from Louisiana is set to begin a strong group of visits -- Alabama followed by Miami and Florida State. Those have been his top three schools for quite some time now. He's expressed a lot of interest in playing in the state of Florida. Alabama has always been the wildcard. If they really turn up the heat and he has a successful visit, it could be over. If he leaves without committing, Miami will have a great chance to turn him next weekend.

DT Jaynard Bostwick - Alabama
Widely regarded as the state's premier defensive tackle prospect, Bostwick grew up following the Canes and has a cousin (Thurston Armbrister) on the team now. At 6-foot-4 and 290 pounds, Bostwick plans to see Florida and Miami later this month. The Gators, not the Tide, seem to be Miami's top competition for right now but a great visit this weekend could shake things up a bit.

DT Keith Bryant - Florida State
A one-time Hurricane commitment, Bryant will spend the weekend visiting the school that most believe is Miami's top competition. At 6-foot-2 and 300 pounds, Bryant also plans to see Tennessee and Miami later this month. This weekend should make things a lot more clear to the talented big man.

LB Matthew Thomas - Alabama
Arguably Miami's top defensive target considering the need at linebacker and how talented he is, Thomas will begin his visits this weekend by seeing the national champs. Bama seems to be Miami's top competition right now. He's named them the favorite on a few different occasions in the past. The Canes seem to have made up a lot of ground, but a great visit could complicate things even more for Miami.

LB Reuben Foster - Washington
The nation's top-rated middle linebacker prospect, Foster has already taken an unofficial to Washington so by going back he's showing people that he has legitimate interest in the Huskies. Most expect the 5-star player to remain in the South, however. He is set to see LSU and Georgia later this month. Miami has a chance to get a visit but even that seems like it's going to be tough for the Canes.

LB Yannick Ngakoue - Florida State
A lesser known prospect from Washigton DC, Ngakoue is very talented and has held an offer from Miami for awhile now. He will also see Maryland and South Carolina. Miami's on the outside looking in and he could pull the commitment trigger at any time for one of these other schools, including FSU this weekend.
