Dayes visits UCF

Running back Matthew Dayes makes an official visit to UCF. He also has some new offers from some big time schools.

Things are heating up for running back Matthew Dayes (Weston, Fla./Cypress Bay). This weekend this three-star running back made an in-state visit while a trio of big name BCS schools have all recently offered.

"I visited UCF this weekend and it was pretty good trip," Dayes said. "I really like the coaching staff, facilities, and the players. That is a school I can see myself at."

Dayes, 5-foot-9 and 200-pounds, had a brilliant senior season, rushing for just under 2,000 yards. Since the year ended he has picked up offers from Miami, Tennessee and Arkansas. Of course, he was a one time commitment to North Carolina State and he has already made his official visit to see the Wolfpack. That leaves him with three more visits.

"I am going to see Vanderbilt (1-25) for sure," Dayes said. "I am also considering teams like N.C. State and USF. Tennessee, Miami, and Arkansas have all offered me here over the past week or so. The Miami offer surprised me. I know they and Arkansas are both coming by to see me tomorrow and Tuesday. As far as the other two visits I just don't know yet what I am going to do."
