Hardison commits to Sun Devils

For weeks now Marcus Hardison said that he has been favoring ASU and on Friday afternoon the Dodge City (Kan.) defenisve lineman acted on those sentiments and committed to Arizona State.

With close to 25 offers suffice to say that Marcus Hardison? is one of the most coveted junior college prospects in the 2013 class. His final four schools including Arizona State, were South Florida, Kansas State and West Virginia, although sources told that South Florida was ASU's main competition here.

"They told me that if I came there I could make an early impact on the team," Hardison said in a previous interview. "They like how I can play every position on the defensive line (he is being recruited by the Sun Devils as a defensive end), and they also like my quickness and explosiveness off the line. Playing against double teams and recognizing offenses are some things I need to improve on.

"I got to watch a couple of games and I really like how the defense plays. They really get after it and give the offense a lot of different looks."

As a freshman in 2011, the 6-4 290-pound Marcus Hardison who reported a 40-yard time of 4.7 seconds, posted 46 tackles and three sacks from his defensive end position. In the last two contents he has moved to the defensive tackle position, a position change that he has welcomed.

Hardison is on pace to graduate in May and he will have three years to play two following the 2012 football season.
