Updated Team Rankings

Scout.com released its updated team rankings Monday, and Michigan leads the way. However, the SEC has 10 programs in the Top 25.

Michigan continued to hold a significant lead in the team rankings and the top 12 programs remained the same, but there was plenty of shifting beyond that in the new Scout.com team rankings, which were released Monday.

Michigan, who picked up their four five-star commitment in running back Derrick Green on Saturday, is followed by Notre Dame, Texas A&M, Ohio State and LSU in the top five. The next five schools are UCLA, Florida, Georgia, Alabama and USC. Washington and Mississippi round out the top 12.

Nebraska moved up three places to No. 13 followed by Mississippi State (move up one slot) and Texas (dropped two).

Oklahoma State is No. 16, and Florida State, the No. 1 team in the ACC, dropped three spots to No. 17. Vanderbilt is No. 18 and Pittsburgh jumped six slots to No. 19 and is the top Big East followed by Oklahoma State.

The top 25 is rounded out by California, the lone newcomer to the group, Arizona, Auburn, Oregon and South Carolina.

The Southeastern Conference leads the way with 10 teams (Texas A&M, LSU, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Auburn and South Carolina) in the Top 25.

The Pac-12 is next with six teams (UCLA, USC, Washington, California, Arizona and Oregon) followed by the Big 12 with three teams (Texas, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State) and the Big Ten with three teams (Michigan, Ohio State, Nebraska). The ACC (Florida State), the Big East (Pittsburgh) and independents (Notre Dame) each placed one.

North Carolina was the lone team to drop out of the Top 25. The Tar Heels fell two slots to No. 26.
