One week away: How will SU finish?

Syracuse football recruiting has been up-and-down since Doug Marrone bolted for Buffalo, but Scott Shafer and company are hitting their stride with one week left in the process. We break down how it may finish in the latest podcast.

Syracuse was able to secure verbal commitments from Chauncey Scissum, Mitch Kimble, Alex Hayes, and wideouts Corey Winfield and Corey Cooper over the last week-plus. Each prospect was on board with Scott Shafer's regime, and each officially visited after Doug Marrone took the job with the Buffalo Bills.

While the hot-streak has been paramount for the Orange, the race to February 6 isn't over just yet. Commitments Augustus Edwards and Malik Brown are looking around and the staff is still recruiting top targets like Laray Smith and even another quarterback in Akeem Jones down the stretch.

Coincidence? We think not...

And who is the top prospect left on the board? With Devan Carter flipping to Rutgers, is it Chigaco (Ill.) Simeon linebacker prospect Reggie Spearman?

John Garcia Jr. and Mike McAllister tackle all of that, and more, exactly one week before the letters of intent come flying in.

And of course, we don't leave you hanging without some bold predictions! Each analyst provides his final list of Syracuse commits and the detailed reasons why inside.
