In fact, Cannon just came back from Columbia to visit with in-state South Carolina for their Junior day festivities. Another high level BCS program has invited him to their upcoming Junior Day as well. Come inside for the details!

Zykiesis Cannon Profile

Although his name was somewhat under the radar with most college coaches 2014 safety/wide receiver Zykiesis Cannon's numbers and film are starting to open a lot of eyes. The Carolina High standout was the state's leader with receiving touchdowns and interceptions last season and he's fresh off a visit with the South Carolina Gamecocks. The junior prospect talked with all about it.

"I went down to Columbia for the Junior Day this weekend. I got to meet Coach Spurrier and the athletic director Ray Tanner. I also had position meeetings with coach Lorenzo Ward and got to talk with the defensive backs coach Brown a lot. It went really good!"

So what did Brown have to say to the 2014 prospect?

"He said they probably will be recruiting three defensive backs and that they really like me. He gave me a couple of pointers on my technique because he said he watched my tape twice."

Cannon's trip to Columbia was the second school he's visited as he's previously traveled to check out UNC-Charlotte. Other schools have made their interest known as of late for the play maker from Greenville County too apparently.

"Louisville just started recruiting me. I am going to their Junior Day on February 23rd. I'm also going to visit Clemson on March 2nd."
