Early Look: 2014 Recruiting -- CB's

The 2014 recruiting class is loaded with quality prospects. CanesTime's Mike Bakas takes a look at what might lie ahead for the Hurricanes.

Currently: The Hurricanes return one junior (Ladarius Gunter), two sophomores (Tracy Howard and Antonio Crawford), and two redshirt freshmen (Larry Hope and Nate Dortch).

2013 Class: Artie Burns is the only current commitment but the Canes are trying very hard to add Rashard Robinson, who's been committed to LSU for a few months now.

2014: With only five players returning and just one commitment now in the 2013 class, cornerback should again be a priority for Miami in 2014. A few out of state prospects already have offers from the Canes.

Kiy Hester is a big, strong, physical corner who goes about 6-feet and 200 pounds. The New Jersey standout has an offer from Miami, and has indicated some early interest.

D.J. Smith is considered one of the top prospects in the state of Georgia for the 2014 class. At 6-feet and 175 pounds, he's considered an elite level cornerback. Miami's one of the schools already in the mix.

Jalen Tabor (6-foot-1, 175 pounds) is rated as one of the nation's best. The Washington, DC standout has offers from just about everyone -- including one from Miami.
