School: Lake Mary Prep
Recruiting: Lewis only had one scholarship offer, and that was from Miami. He was lightly recruited but most schools knew that he was definitely going to be a Hurricane so many didn't even waste their time.
Scouting Report: A very productive two-way player, Lewis lacks ideal size to be considered an every down player at running back. He could end up playing on defense, where his father made a living, and where his athleticism could shine more. – Mike Bakas
2012 season: Lewis finished the season with over 1,500 yards rushing for a team that made it to the state quarterfinals. He also added over 70 tackles while playing safety.
Mike's Take: A lot of people wondered early on if Miami would take a commitment from him. He's not considered a top notch prospect but has outstanding bloodlines, obviously. He's a kid you want in the program. He can do some different things for you. And having his father around the team and program should be a major plus over the next few years.
