Signing Day Profile: DE Alquadin Muhammad

It's official. DE Alquadin Muhammad has signed with the Miami Hurricanes. Read on to learn more about him.

Player: DE Alquadin Muhammad

School: Ramsey (NJ) Don Bosco Prep

Recruiting: One of the nation's most heavily recruited players at his position, Muhammad had offers from just about everyone. He favored Notre Dame for awhile before they went in a different direction. He announced for Miami at the US Army All-American Game in January. He also visited Rutgers last weekend.

Scouting Report: Muhammad has outside linebacker size and quickness from his defensive end spot. He terrorizes offensive tackles with his quickness off the edge, and he's surprisingly strong against the run. He has the frame to grow into a fulltime defensive end in college or could see some time at outside linebacker depending on scheme. A heady player who reads the option well and is a weapon in passing situations - Scott Kennedy

2012 season: Muhammad finished his senior season with 12 sacks for a team that went 8-3. He played in the US Army All-American Game after the season.

Mike's Take: Miami needed pass rushers in a major way with the 2013 class. Their 2012 pass rush was terrible – one of the worst in all of college football. Muhammad will help out with that in a big way. He's a top notch pass rusher with ideal size and athleticism. He also comes from one of the premier prep programs in New Jersey, where he's used to high levels of competition and winning.
