Signing Day Profile: LB Jermaine Grace

It's official. LB Jermaine Grace has signed with the Miami Hurricanes. Read on to learn more about him.

Player: LB Jermaine Grace

School: Miramar

Recruiting: Miami was one of his first offers, and has been recruiting him for nearly two years now. He also took visits to Louisville and Tennessee and committed to the Canes today, on National TV.

Scouting Report: Grace brings a tremendous amount of speed and athleticism to the table as a prospect. He has good football instincts and he has the speed and athleticism to make a lot of plays all over the field. He's very good in coverage, too. He is a bit on the small side for a major college LB prospect though. -- Mike Bakas

2012 season: Grace finished his senior season with over 130 total tackles. That puts him at over 250 tackles over his final two seasons at the prep level. He also picked off six passes during that time.

Mike's Take: Grace has been one of the most active players at the linebacker position in South Florida over the last two seasons. He is a tremendous athlete with lots of speed. He'll be one of the fastest and most athletic linebackers on Miami's roster in 2013. And all he does is make plays. He does lack ideal size (6-0/195) and that's an area of concern for Miami considering they're already small at linebacker.
