QB Litton rounds up his 1st offer of the year

Wharton quarterback Chase Litton may have had an existing offer from a big time school last year, but this Sunday, he racked up another big D-I offer a little more east of the bayou. See what the local standout thought about his latest offer and visit to USF.

Tampa, Fl.— After USF's Junior Day, several high school juniors saw offers from the Bulls and Litton was one of them.

Last year, Litton received an offer from LSU before his junior season. This year, he has received an offer from USF and feels great about it.

"Coach Willie Taggart actually offered me the scholarship," said Litton. "He said he wants to have me here and he's looking forward to seeing me more. It felt great."

Unlike most 2014 recruits, Litton has already visited his fair share of schools.

"I have visited Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Miami. They were all great, but USF was the best visit I've had yet."

Litton said he was surprised at how well he was treated at USF.

"I liked how I was treated by everyone. I liked how I was shown around the facilities and how I was talked to by everyone."

Although USF may have wooed Litton, he says USF doesn't rank above or behind anyone else right now since the process is still in its beginning stages.

"Any school that offers me a scholarship to play the sport I love is in the running. I have no lists or top choices."

Litton will head to Tuscaloosa for Alabama's Junior Day next.
