Miami offers central Florida DL

This talented defensive line prospect from the Orlando area made an unofficial visit to Miami last week and then received an offer from the Canes over the weekend. Read on for more..

Adam Torres is one of the top overall prospects in the greater Orlando area for the Class of 2014.

At 6-foot-5 and 265 pounds, Torres plays both defensive end tackle for Lake Mary High.

After taking a visit to Miami on Wednesday, he received good news from the Hurricane coaches a couple days later.

"Miami offered me a scholarship," Torres said. "It's a great place. I like the coaches and everything down there."

Torres landed early offers from schools like Rutgers, USF, NC State, and Georgia Tech as a defensive lineman. Florida State offered him as an offensive lineman recently.

Since he's already taken an unofficial visit to Miami and has seen the school and the area, he knows what Miami's all about. He, obviously, has a legitimate interest in the Miami program so this is a kid to keep an eye on.
