Boom! Canes Land 5-star OL

The University of Miami just landed one of the nation's premier offensive line prospects.

K.C. McDermott was recruited like the state's premier offensive line prospect. At 6-foot-6 and 285 pounds, the Palm Beach Central offensive tackle had scholarship offers from every major program in America.

The younger brother of UM center Shane McDermott, Kc recently cut his list down to two schools -- Miami and Notre Dame.

At a 2 pm press conference at his school today, McDermott ended the recruiting process by announcing his intentions to become a Miami Hurricane.

McDermott becomes Miami's second high profile offensive line recruit in the 2014 class, joining Miami Central's Trevor Darling. St. Thomas Aquinas center Nick Linder is also committed to the Hurricanes.

3-star quarterback Alin Edourd and 5-star running back Joseph Yearby are also committed to Miami's 2014 class.
