New DL offer is out

The Hurricanes are searching the entire nation for defensive linemen in the Class of 2014. They just gave a new offer to an out-of-state player at the position. Read on to learn more about him and what he's saying about Miami.

Arthur Williams

6-5/300 from EE Smith HS in Fayetteville, NC

He plays a lot of DE now but projects as a DT in college.

He put up 30 reps of 185 at a recent combine. He's a really strong kid, especially for his age.

Miami was the first Division 1 school to offer him.

He recently attended NC State's Junior Day but is still without an offer from them.

"I would say Georgia, Clemson and NC State," he told Scout's Steve Williams when asked about favorites. "I love South Carolina and then Miami."

The Canes could be in great shape since they were his first offer.

"When I was eight, Miami was my favorite. When I got older we moved to Georgia so I switched to Georgia. When I got up here I saw Jadeveon Clowney so I said I wanted to go to South Carolina. I've just been flip-flopping."

He finished his junior season with 93 tackles and four sacks.
