Canes offer California defender

The Hurricanes have offered a new player from the state of California. Read on to learn more about him as a prospect.

Tyler Cook

He plays a DE/OLB hybrid position in high school but projects as an OLB in college. He finished with 58 tackles, 7.5 sacks, 21 hurries, two caused fumbles, and three fumble recoveries as a junior.

He also plays tight end on offense but is used mainly as a blocker. He caught just two passes as a junior.

His high school team has lost just one game over the last three years so he's used to being in a competitive and winning environment.

BYU was his dream school and they were one of his first offers. Some of his others include Arizona, Hawaii, and Utah State so he's being recruited like a low end three star right now.
