Georgia Safety Lands Miami Offer

This four-star safety prospect was just offered by the Hurricanes. Read on to learn more about him as a prospect.

Safety Cortez McDowell was offered by Miami yesterday, he told Scout.

6-2/205 from Locust Grove High in Georgia

He finished his junior season with 60 tackles, two interceptions, two sacks, and 10 pass deflections.

He was offered by Georgia and Georgia Tech during his junior season. He took spring visits to Vanderbilt, Ohio State, North Carolina, Alabama, UGA, Georgia Tech, South Carolina, and Tennessee.

In late March he told Scout that his top two choices were Tennessee and Florida State.

He has offers from all those schools, so he's being recruited like a high four-star prospect. He's definitely a national recruit, one that Miami is a little late into the picture with.

It'll be hard to tell what Miami's chances will be until he visits but the late offer coupled with him not growing up a fan will likely make things tough for the Canes.
