Canes offer Virginia DL

The Hurricanes offered a talented defensive tackle prospect from the state of Virginia yesterday. Read on to learn more about him as a prospect.

DL Jeremiah Clarke

6-5/275 from T.C. Williams HS in Alexandria, Va.

Despite breaking his hand in the fifth game last fall, Clarke played the entire season. He finished with 40 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 12.5 sacks, seven quarterback hurries, two forced fumbles, a deflection, and a blocked field goal.

Williams, who plays on both sides of the ball, has made a couple spring visits to Virginia. He's also been to Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Temple, and Penn State. Despite all of his recent travels, he still hasn't named a leader yet. That could bode well for someone like Miami just now jumping into the mix.

With offers from schools like UVA, Virginia Tech, Penn State, and Maryland, he's being recruited like a solid three-star prospect.

If the Hurricanes can get him down onto their campus at some point this year, they could have a good chance to really influence him since he hasn't really named any favorites yet.
