Canes offer 4-star Safety

This four-star safety prospect says the Hurricanes offered him today. Read on to learn more about him as a prospect.

According to his coaches, S Montae Nicholson was offered by the Canes today.

6-2/200 from Gateway High in Monroeville, Pa

He is fresh off a tremendous junior season, and has been getting recruited nationally for quite some time now. He went to several college camps last summer and landed offers from just about all of them including Ohio State, Penn State, and Michigan.

Also a standout basketball player, Nicholson continues taking his time with the recruiting process. "My mom has created a spreadsheet, where we look at every aspect of a school and what they have to offer," he told Scout. "We are rating them for distance, academic rating, football, and a lot of things really. I will probably narrow it down to a top-ten this summer, and then go from there. I will be making my decision after my season is over."

Nicholson is being recruited like a solid four-star prospect, and is the second safety of the week to have been offered by Miami. Like the other safety who was offered (Cortez McDowell), Nicholson has ideal size already.

How much interest he has in Miami won't really be known until he takes a visit down here at some point in the near future.
