The latest offer on the board for Crete-Monee (Ill.) linebacker Nyles Morgan is one that he wasn't expecting.
"Alabama offered me," Morgan said. "I mean they won the national title two times straight and they want me to come down for a visit, I mean why not."
Even with as many offers as he has, Morgan was humbled by the offer from Alabama and that they stopped by Crete-Monee.
"I wasn't actually expecting it. They came to the school then they told me head coach Nick Saban wants to offer you a scholarship and I was like wow, it was a shock."
Morgan is coming off an impressive performance at the Chicago Nike Football Training Camp, earning linebacker MVP and an invite to The Opening in July something that is, "pretty exciting"
"I think I did pretty exceptional, I excelled in a lot of things they were looking for," Morgan said of his performance.
Morgan also had a few words to say about one of the other competitors in Addison, Ill., Sunday at the camp -- a running back that he went up against several times.
"Jeffrey Jones, he was number 110, I really liked him. A lot of times in 1 on 1s I kind of got him then in the drills and in pass rush," Morgan said.
And as for Morgan's recent recruitment, it has been pretty busy.
"A lot of schools have dropped in, Oregon, Texas A&M, Michigan, Michigan State, Vanderbilt, UCLA, Cal and more," Morgan said. "New offers are Alabama, Oregon, Iowa, Texas AM and those were the latest."
But which schools are actually sticking out to Morgan? There are a few.
"Sticking out as far as my interest in them I would say Florida, Miami,Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and UCLA, Oregon and USC," Morgan said. "I am hearing the most from Vanderbilt, Ole Miss, Notre Dame, Oregon, Florida and Miami."
