Canes offer Alabama QB

This dual-threat quarterback prospect from the state of Alabama landed his first BCS offer on Monday -- and it was from Miami. Read on to learn more about him as a prospect.

Malik Rosier

6-2/205 from Faith Academy HS in Mobile, AL

His team finished just 3-7 last season but he had a very productive junior season running the spread offense. He finished the year with over 2,300 yards passing and 20 touchdowns. He also added just over 1,000 yards and 12 scores on the ground.

He's also a very good baseball player, and told Scout recently that he'd like to try playing both sports in college.

He played running back in 8th grade and defensive back in 9th before moving to full-time quarterback.

Rosier attended some Junior Days earlier this spring but left without offers. Before claiming the new offer from Miami, Rosier's offers were from schools like Arkansas State, Southern Miss, and Furman. He's being recruited like a 2-star player.

This is definitely an interesting offer for Miami, and one that should be watched closely since the Hurricanes only have a few outstanding offers out right now.
