In-state RB/LB lands UM offer

This talented two-way player says the Hurricanes offered him today, now giving him offers from each of the Big 3 in Florida. Read on to learn more about him as a prospect.

T.J. Harrell told Scout that Miami offered him today.

6-0/200 from Tampa Catholic HS (same school as 4-star OL target Corey Martinez)

He ran a 4.61/40, 4.34/shuttle, and jumped 31 inches at a Nike event earlier this year.

He played outside linebacker and running back as a junior last season. He finished the season with 108 tackles, 2.5 sacks, one interception, two caused fumbles, and three blocked kicks. On offense, he finished with 616 yards and six touchdowns.

On March 16 he told Scout that he had 25 scholarship offers but the one he was still waiting on was Miami. He took April visits to Georgia and Florida State, and landed offers from both. In late April he listed FSU and USF as his top two choices.

With other offers from schools like Tennessee and Michigan, Harrell is being recruited like a 4-star player. He had some early interest in Miami and now with an offer look for that interest to really increase. Miami will likely be right in the thick of this race moving forward.
