Canes make another OL offer

The Hurricanes already have an excellent offensive line class with four current commitments. They seem to be seeking a fifth, and just offered another in-state lineman. Read on to learn about him as a prospect.

Isaiah Wynn says the Hurricanes offered him on Thursday.

6-2/270 interior OL prospect (plays OT now) from Lakewood HS in St. Pete.

Testing numbers: 5.67/40, 5.06/shuttle, and 26-inch vert at a Nike event earlier this year.

He says USF was his dream school, and they became his first scholarship offer in June of last year. By August, Vanderbilt also offered and became his top choice at the time.

He turned in a tremendous performance at the Miami Nike Camp earlier this spring. Scout's Chad Simmons voted him the camp's second best overall performer, behind UM commit Trevor Darling.

Here is what Simmons said:
"Wynn has been one of the hottest offensive line prospects of late. He has the versatility to play almost anywhere on the front. He's 6-foot-3 but plays a little bigger than that. Wynn played left tackle on Sunday and was outstanding."

In late March, by the time Wynn had around 20 offers, he told Scout that he wants to leave Florida for college. He took spring visits to schools like USF, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and Auburn. All of those schools, except for Bama, have already offered him and he's now being recruited like a 4-star prospect. His overall interest in Miami likely won't be determined until he takes a visit here, which the Canes are hoping happens before the season.
