JCFootball.com Recruiting Blog - 5/28

Even though the May evaluation period is winding down, things are still going strong with several recruits who continue to see interest and offers roll in. Today we take a look at who is headed where this week and which four-year schools are making moves on some JUCO recruits...

Snow C Darren Denucci - As the center on one of the top teams in the country last season, Dennucci, who was a full-qualifier out of high school, started to receive plenty of attention from programs looking for a center to bring in this summer. He's already visited two of his favorites, Southern Miss and Nevada, and he will wrap things up this week with a visit to Georgia State (Tuesday to Thursday). Once he returns, Denucci will sit down and make his decision.

Georgia Military OG Deveroe Lawrence - Lawrence is a name to keep an eye on over the next few months as he's seen interest really pick up over the past couple of weeks. Last week he received his first offer from Auburn and more SEC and Big 12 programs are starting to give him a long look.

Arizona Western DE Anthony Olobia - At 6'5" and weighing close to 250 pounds, Olobia is a freakish athlete with enough speed to be a presence off the edge or to hold up against the run. He recently received an offer from Texas Tech and he's got other schools sniffing around including Oklahoma State, Miami and Oregon State among others.

New Mexico Military DE Edmond Boateng - Miami made an offer to Boateng last week, but the talented redshirt freshman is set to play for the Broncos this fall so the Hurricanes, who had hoped to get him to enroll this summer, will have to wait. Expect more and more schools to come calling in the very near future.

Butte TE Bo Brummel - As a freshman in 2012, Brummel totaled just eight catches for 120 yards and two scores, but he's a top talent and will be one of the top JUCO tight ends in the country this fall. He's super-athletic and he's got soft hands. His coaches at Butte are looking forward to using him more this fall since last year he was buried behind Texas-bound Geoff Swaim. This year, watch for him to break out with a big season he should get several offers before it's all said and done.

Bakersfield S Chris Hannible - He isn't the biggest safety prospect out there, but Hannible can play some ball and he was a real leader for the Renegades in the deep patrol last season, totaling 64 tackles and three interceptions. He's gotten some interest from Mountain West and Pac 12 programs, but he's still waiting on that first offer.

Fullerton RB Ryan Byrd - Byrd had a great freshman season for the Hornets in 2012, rushing for 870 yards and seven scores while also averaging 30.6 yards per kickoff return. He earned First Team All-Conference honors for his efforts and this season should be even better for him.

Fort Scott S Tellas Jones - Even though he redshirted in 2012, Jones has still been attracting a ton of attention including an early offer from Southern Miss and recent heavy interest in Kentucky, Arizona, Ohio, Miami, Kansas State and Baylor.

Itawamba DE Cameron Wiggins - Wiggins already had an offer from Southern Miss and just recently he received an offer from South Alabama. At 6'4" and weighing in at 250 pounds, Wiggins is poised to become one of the hottest recruits this summer and if his stats from 2012 are an indiciation -- 23 tackles, 12 tackles-for-loss and seven sacks in eight games -- he'll be one of the top recruits in the Mississippi ranks this fall as well.
