Canes offer local DL

The Hurricanes were the latest school to offer this local defensive end prospect. Read on to learn more about him as a prospect.

According to coach Donald Hanna, Kevin Bronson was offered by the Hurricanes earlier this week.

6-3/235 DE prospect from Village Academy HS in Delray Beach, FL

Nike numbers from earlier this spring: 4.78/40, 4.57/shuttle, and 31.3/vert.

He actually played defensive tackle as a sophomore but then was moved to be an edge pass rusher in 2012. He finished the season with 58 tackles, 17 tackles for loss, and six sacks. His team reached the state playoffs.

Bronson, who grew up a Miami fan, landed early offers from USF, UCF, and Rutgers. Miami offered him at the end of spring, and Arkansas just offered him yesterday. He's being recruited like a three-star prospect.

According to his coach, Bronson plans on visiting several schools this summer, including Miami.

This offer is important to note since he grew up a Miami fan, is a local kid, and plans to visit here in the very near future. Those things typically indicate that a commitment could be coming soon.
