Freshman OL transferring from UM

This redshirt freshman offensive lineman says he's set to transfer from the University of Miami. Read on for more.

Jacoby Briscoe says he is transferring from Miami.

"I will be transferring from UM," Briscoe said. "I'm waiting on my release."

At 6-foot-5 and 300 pounds Briscoe signed with Miami in the 2012 recruiting class. He was a three-star defensive line recruit Lafayette High in Carencro, Louisiana.

After spending his first season as a reserve on the defensive line and using a redshirt season, Briscoe was moved to the offensive line for spring football. He continued making little movement up the depth chart and now the Hurricanes have four offensive line commitments in the 2014 class.

Briscoe picked Miami over schools like Texas A&M and Tennessee out of high school. He simply wasn't able to make an impact in his short time at Miami and now plans to play elsewhere in the 2013 season and beyond.
