The Opening: UM Preview (offense)

The Opening is a four-day event held in Oregon every summer. 162 of the nation's top football players will train and compete with some of the best during that time. Several Hurricane recruits will be there, and CanesTime will keep you updated on all the action. Lets start with a preview on the offensive side of the ball.

The Opening will begin on Sunday and will finish on Wednesday.

Brad Kaaya will be one of the quarterbacks at the event. At 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, Kaaya committed to the Hurricanes last month and has seen his stock rise this offseason.

Joseph Yearby is rated as one of the nation's top running back prospects and the Miami Central standout will be there. He flipped his commitment from Florida State to Miami soon after James Coley became offensive coordinator here.

The wide receiver position will be loaded with Miami prospects. Ermon Lane, Corey Holmes, former commit Travis Rudolph, JoJo Robinson, Artavis Scott, and Johnnie Dixon are the in-state receivers who are being recruited by Miami. Malachi Dupre, Kd Cannon, and Austin Roberts are being recruited by Miami from outside the state, and all three will be there.

Trevor Darling (6-6/310) committed to the Hurricanes several months ago and is one of the state's top linemen. He will be there. Corey Martinez, Demetrius Knox, and Isaiah Wynn are very good interior offensive line prospects who have offers from the Canes. All three will be there.

Most of Scout's recruiting team will be there to cover all the action so stay tuned for interviews, video clips, photo galleries, scouting reports, and much more in the coming days.
