He knew he could be one of the best and he was proud of the results.

There were many great backs at The Opening in 2013 and Chubb had it on his mind entering this event to show all that he was one of those.
"I think I showed the world what I am about. I do not think anyone expected me to be as fast as I was, so I wanted to prove that I belonged. Everyone talked about these other top running backs, so I wanted to show I can be just as good as Leonard Fournette, Joe Mixon, and the other great backs out here.
"I know those guys are great, but I feel I am in that same group. I am not sure if anyone sle felt that way before The Opening and seeing what I did out there."
When looking at Chubb, you see a strong back and a back who could keep those chains moving between the tackles.
He checked in at 5-feet, 11-inches tall and 217 pounds on Monday and he knows that he is about more than just power.
"I think I showed I am a running back that can do a lot of different things. I can run the ball with power, I can run the ball with speed, and I showed out here that I can catch the ball pretty good too. Doing everything well is important and that will help me get on the field at Georgia. I want to do all things very well and that is why I work so hard."
For one more season, Chubb is a Cedartown Bulldog and then he will move on to be a Georgia Bulldog.
He has been committed to UGA for almost a month now and it is setting in for him.
"It has hit me that I am going to be a Georgia Bulldog. I have been playing the video game NCAA Football and it really hit me then. I am running the ball with Todd Gurley now, but that is going to me in the future. It is pretty exciting. I am very happy to be a Bulldog and I will be there at Dawg Night."
