UM Camp Report - Part 3

At 5-foot-11 and 176 pounds, it was Arizona standout wide receiver Brian Hernandez who took home MVP honors. It was the third straight Miami camp that Hernandez has attended and the Canes are his favorite school. However, the talented wideout did not get an offer just yet.

Quarterback Chris Olsen, who took home Top Quarterback honors, again looked very impressive. He now will wait a little while, and then sit down with his parents before making a decision between Miami and Notre Dame.

The top wide receiver award went to Devin Aromashadu, who I think is the state's best prospect. He told me after the camp that Miami is a slight favorite over Ohio State right now.

The top tight end award went to Greg Olsen, a junior who is the brother of Chris. He won the award at the position that many eyes were on Curtis Justus, who actually did not participate in drills the last couple days.

The top defensive back award went to Jermaine McCollum of Miami Southridge. At 5-9 and 165, McCollum ran a 4.51 and had a 33-inch vertical jump and was very impressive amongst a very impressive group of defensive backs.

More on the camp later...
