Canes offer USC commit

The Hurricanes are seeking more defensive tackles to add to their 2014 recruiting class. They've just offered another one, who is already committed to USC. Read on to learn more about him.

According to the Virginia Pilot newspaper, the Canes have offered DT Michael Wyche.

At 6-foot-4 and 330 pounds, Wyche played HS football at Oscar Smith HS in Chesapeake, VA. He now plays at East LA Junior College.

"He's an outstanding interior pass-rusher with a lot of athleticism," says Scout JC analyst Scott Eklund.

Wyche didn't qualify out of H.S. so he enrolled at the California Juco.

Wyche committed to USC back in the spring but that hasn't stopped others from recruiting and offering him. Miami, Auburn, and Oregon are just a few of his latest offers.

Wyche is expected to graduate in December and will have three years to play two.

This new offer indicates the Canes are still seeking more defensive tackles, and that will include players coming from the Junior College ranks.
