Spring Ball - Tuesday

I stopped by Charlotte H.S. today to watch wide receiver Dishon Platt and to find out whether he's deserving of being mentioned in the same breath as a Ryan Moore or Devin Aromashadu.

Yes, Canes fans, he is.

At 6-1 and 175, Platt has big time written all over him. He has tremendous muscular development and will be plenty big enough. He has big time speed (probably a legit 4.40 kid) and runs outstanding routes. His hands are above average, but he does a tremendous job of attacking the football. In the open field, he's unstoppable at this level.

Platt is clearly one of the Top 5 kids I have watched this spring, and is surely one of the nation's elite few wide receiver prospects.

Unfortunately, I have some news on Platt and his recruitment. One college coach (from outside the state of Florida) told me Platt is already a private commitment to the Florida State coaches. Therefore, lets hope the UM coaches can change hid mind because this kid is big, big time.

I'd say my new Top five this spring is (in no specific order) Platt, Ryan Moore, Ciatrick Fason, Nate Harris, and Chasio Thomas.

Stay tuned, as I will be watching jamborees from all over south Florida over the next four days.
