Spring Ball - Tuesday

It was Apopka's Brandon Merriweather, who I really liked. At 6-0 and 175, he's a very talented athlete, one of the best I have seen all spring, and that includes the NIKE Camp.

Merriweather has a very nice backpedal, he's light on his feet, and he's a natural center fielder with good ball skills. He could probably play corner at the next level as well with his 4.5 speed.

Merriweather is probably the second best player I have seen in the Orlando area this spring, behind Ryan Moore at Dr. Phillips.

The safety position is going to be awesome this year. He's the third possible big timer I have seen in two weeks, joining Chasio Thomas and Cardan Alexander.

My May milage log is up past 2,000 miles now, as I head over to the Tampa area tomorrow. Stay tuned.
