Q&A with Deon Bush

The playing status of sophomore safety Deon Bush remains unclear heading into this Saturday's game against Florida. Read on to see what he's saying a few days before the game.

On practice this week:
I'm going to practice, getting reps when I can.

On playing Saturday:
I'm not sure. That's the trainer's decision.

On how he feels:
I'm feeling good. I'm getting there, working on getting back.

On Kacy Rodgers:
All the safeties played great. They played at a high level and made everyone step up. The whole defense is playing great right now. They just have to keep it going.

On how they'll decide whether he plays:
It's a team decision. We all work together. It's based on me getting ready and what they decide.

On preparing for Florida:
It's obviously a big game and I really wanna be out there with my team. This is something I live for – to play football in big games like this. We just have to make the right decision as to whether I'll play or not.

On just another game:
At the end of the day, you just have to play football. All the other activities of the game is for the fans. At the end of the day, we are just lining up against another team like any other team.

On what may hold him back:
It's just when I'm able to go out and perform at a good level. I don't wanna get out in the game if I'm not 100-percent healthy. I'm still in a little bit of discomfort.
