Around the Conference: Week 2

Lets take a look around the conference at what teams and players were doing in week two's action.

* The Hurricanes dropped one spot to 16th in the newest Associated Press Rankings. Florida State (8th) is the only remaining regular season opponent ranked. Clemson (3rd) remains the highest ranked ACC team.

FAU went into South Florida and handled the Bulls by the score of 28-10. The Bulls are now 0-3 on the season. FAU is 1-2.

Savannah State, after giving up 143 points in their first two games, defeated Fort Valley State by the score of 27-20.

Georgia Tech defeated Duke by the score of 38-14 to go to 2-0 on the season. The Yellow Jackets are now ranked 3rd nationally in rushing offense.

Wake Forest dropped to 1-2 on the season after being upset at home by Louisiana-Monroe (21-19).

Florida State pounded Nevada by the score of 62-7. The Noles are now averaging 51.5 points per game.

It wasn't easy but Virginia Tech hung on to win at East Carolina (15-10). The Hokies have now scored 25 points in their two games against BCS opponents.

After getting blasted by FSU in the opener, Pittsburgh rebounded with a 49-27 win over New Mexico.
