Eagles Offer Tuscaloosa Lineman

With Southern Miss having an upcoming bye week, the coaches will hit the road for a key recruiting week. They've already extended an offer to a lineman in Alabama, who talked about it today with GoldenEaglePride.com.

Terrell Bush was offered today by Southern Miss.

The big offensive and defensive lineman (6'3, 290lbs) is a Furman commit who is really starting to land on the radar of a few teams.

He detailed how things came together for his offer with Southern Miss.

"Coach Woz contacted me yesterday on twitter and said they had interest in me and they had seen my film and liked me a lot," he told GoldenEaglePride.com this afternoon.

"He came by the school today and he offered me. I was excited about it."

He talked about the offer and where the Eagle coaches could see him playing.

"To be honest I don't know a lot about Southern Miss," he said. "I know they have good tradition and get players to the NFL. Coach Woz told me about the good things they have going and how the staff is working to turn things around.

"It is a place I want to check out. I'm going to visit in a few weeks for a home game.

"They like me along the offensive line, is what they saw from film. They had mentioned me possibly playing center, but I'll play anywhere along the offensive line."

Bush committed to Furman back in the summer, but he's since picked up offers to Western Kentucky and Navy, along with Southern Miss as well.

"I'm still committed to Furman, but if offers come, I feel like I have to check them out and see what is the best fit for me," he said.

"I'm going to visit Southern Miss, Western Kentucky, and Navy as well. I love the deal that Navy has with all the benefits."

Bush talked about his strengths as a player as well.

"I'm a smart football player," he said. "I study film and work hard, and I can get after the QB on defense. Offensively, I know I have to keep working but I only know one way and that's to knock people off the ball."

Bush is teammates with Torrance Brown, also a prospect with an offer from Southern Miss.
