I've seen this kid on tape. He has the arm strength, release, accuracy, footwork, and leadership skills to be a great one at the next level.
As a junior last season, Vick completed almost 65 percent of his passes. He also rushed for almost 1,000 yards. I hate to draw comparisons, but watching him at this level reminds me so much of what his older brother did at Virginia Tech over the last three seasons. The younger Vick has that type of talent.
At the Virginia summer camp, Vick measured in at 5-foot-11 1/2 and 178 pounds, and ran a 4.51 on grass in front of the UVA coaches. He just turned 17 not too long ago so the Newport News (Va) Warwick standout is probably not done growing. In two years, he could be a 6-1 and 190 pound kid, but regardless he's every bit as big now as his brother, who is now playing in the NFL - as a quarterback.
Even if things don't work out at quarterback, Vick could be an outstanding wide receiver prospect. At Virginia's camp, he switched to wide receiver for a little while, and their coaches said he was the best wide receiver at the camp.
Your current core GPA: About a 2.2
Your current test score: I got a 1090 on my SAT.
Who are some of the top programs that called in May: Miami, Florida, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Clemson, Georgia, and Florida State all called me.
Which schools have sent you scholarship offers in the mail: The only ones in the mail are from Virginia and Clemson. But most of them told me on the phone that they would be offering me.
If signing day were tomorrow, what's it looking like: Miami's my leader, followed by Georgia and Tennessee.
So those will be three of your visits: Yeah, and I will probably also visit Clemson and Virginia.
No interest in Virginia Tech right now: No, I dont have any interest at all in Tech.
What's Miami's situation: I love them, they're my favorites right now. They're coming off a real big season and they could very well pull off the national title this season. I really like Coach Werner, too.
This is great news, as Vick currently is leaning towards Miami. If we have a big season, especially if we content for the national championship, I love our chances.
