Morris: Our offense has to do more

Read on to see what senior quarterback Stephen Morris is saying about Miami's recent struggles, and how he thinks the offense can be doing more.

On senior day:
We need this one for the seniors. It's our last home game. It will mean a lot to us. It will be emotional. I am excited.

On sending seniors off with a last home win:
Definitely. Everyone on the team wants to win this one for the seniors. Our biggest focus is just on the game.

On being worried about the defense:
Not at all. We just needed to score more points, stay on the field, and run the ball better. My concern is what we're doing on the offensive side of the ball.

On the remaining games:
There is a lot to play for still. That's the message. Guys who have been here haven't been to a bowl game in a long time. There is still a lot to play hard for. That's been the message. We will see how it goes.

On the offensive performance against Duke:
I thought we did OK. I wish we would have stayed on the field more and scored touchdowns instead of field goals but that's how games go sometimes. It's unfortunate and we need to improve.

They have a great defense. They have young guys but they force a lot of turnovers. 17 I believe. They can rush the passer. Their secondary is athletic; a lot of their guys are on the track team. Their linebacker group is physical. I know their record might not show it. It's all about playing smart for us.
