Decision Day for Elite WR

Decision day has arrived for 4-star wide receiver Johnnie Dixon. Will it be Miami or Ohio State? Read on for the latest...

Johnnie Dixon has been the best player on a very good Dwyer team that will play for a state title next weekend.

At 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds, Dixon also became one of the state's most heavily recruited wide receiver prospects this year.

After taking official visits earlier this season to Ohio State, Alabama, NC State, and Arkansas, Dixon was at Miami this weekend for his final trip.

Dixon says there's a lot to like about the Hurricanes.

"Miami was my first offer and since day one, they have recruited me hard. I am very familiar with the program, I have visited there more than any other school, and I really like the players and the coaches there."

Dixon has maintained a top three of Miami, Ohio State, and Alabama for a couple months now. The only head coach who made an in-home visit with the talented receiver this past week was Al Golden.

Now it's decision time. Dixon says distance won't play a big role in his decision.

"Being close to home and nice, but sometimes you have to get away and grow up. Location is not going to play into my decision too much. I am looking at many other things before that."

All eyes will be on the four-star wide receiver tonight at 7 pm when he makes his decision known from a local restaurant.
