Quarterback Recruiting Database

An indepth look at the top quarterback prospects who are considering the Hurricanes. Many photos being added as well.

Marc Guillon, 6-4, 186, 4.90, Orinda (CA) Miramonte
Coming from the same high school as current UM quarterback Ken Dorsey, Guillon was one of the first quarterbacks offered by the Hurricanes this year. He threw for 2,210 yards and 28 touchdowns as a junior, and is fully qualified inside the classroom. Southern Cal is the toughest competition at this point.

Matt Gutierrez, 6-4, 206, 4.80, Concorde (CA) De La Salle
Strong, physical drops back quarterback who is outstanding inside the pocket. With a rocket of an arm, he completed 56 percent of his passes as a junior and threw for almost 20 touchdowns in a run-oriented offensive system. Enjoyed an unofficial visit to Miami last week and the Canes are one of several schools still under consideration.

Marcus Vick, 6-0, 178, 4.51, Newport News (VA) Warwick
The younger brother of Michael, and he's got the same type of ability. While he doesn't possess that rare arm strength, he does have all the tools to become an outstanding quarterback at the college level. Vick is a full academic qualifier who had over 3,000 yards in total offense as a junior last season. Last week he told me Miami is the current favorite over Virginia, Clemson, and a few others.

Vincent Young, 6-4, 180, 4.49, Houston (TX) Madison
Very athletic quarterback who throws a very catchable ball. As a junior, he completed almost 60 percent of his passes. The 40 time leads some to believe he could even be a top-notch wide receiver at the next level. He was one of the top performers at the Elite 11 camp in late July and although Miami hasn't offered him yet as of mid August, he likes the Canes a lot.
