"Aw, man it was a great experience," said Jones of the Mississippi State junior day. "I talked to all of the coaches, man and toured the campus.
"I get to see all of the facilities and the dorm where the players stay.
"I got to hang out with some of the players. It was a great experience."
Jones had the chance to be shown the lay of the Mississippi State land by Bulldog freshman wide out Fred Ross.
"Aw, man he's a great dude, a funny guy," said Jones of Ross. "He told about the classes and stuff and he said it's not like in high school.
"He told me all about the college experience and about how your mom is not going to be there to wake you up and make you do what you're supposed to do.
"You have to do everything on your own."
During the day, Jones was able to spend some time with Bulldog wide receivers' coach Billy Gonzales.
"Aw, man it was great man," said Jones of his positional meeting with Gonzales. "He showed me a lot of love.
"He told me that I was a great player overall and that he would love to coach me."
It appears that Mississippi State has made a major move up the pecking order with Jones after his time on campus.
"I feel like Mississippi State would be a great school to go to," said Jones. "I am thinking about deciding pretty soon.
"I want to be able to focus on my academics and stuff. I want to talk to my coach and my family about everything and I am thinking about going ahead and making my decision.
"It's probably going to be pretty soon. Mississippi State has worked their way up a lot.
"They have been recruiting me real hard lately.
"I am looking at Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Florida right now.
"I just want to take a little longer and think about things and then I am probably going to go ahead and make my decision."
