Miami 2015 Prospects -- Quarterbacks

It's time to shift our coverage to the 2015 recruiting class. Miami has already been very active in recruiting the current group of juniors. Lets take a closer look, focusing on the quarterbacks in this piece.

The Hurricanes have four known active offers out to quarterback prospects from around the country right now (uncommitted players).

Torrance Gibson, 6-4/210, Plantation, FL (American Heritage) -- He's coming off an outstanding junior season in which he threw for over 1,700 yards, 19 touchdowns, and just three picks. He also ran for over 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns. He helped lead his team to the school's first ever state title. Gibson, a five-star already on Scout, has offers from every major program in the country. He's already been down for a Junior Day and has expressed some early interest in the Canes. Brandon Wimbush, 6-2/205, Jersey City, NJ (St. Peters Prep) -- Widely considered the top quarterback prospect in New Jersey for the 2015 class, Wimbush has already cut his list down to three schools -- Miami, Ohio State, and Penn State. He finished with close to 2,000 yards passing and over 500 rushing. He's an excellent dual-threat quarterback prospect. Click here for junior video.

Christian Alexander, 6-3/205, Lakeland, FL (Lakeland Christian) -- He's fresh off a junior season that really put his name on the recruiting map. He finished the season with over 1,800 yards passing, 22 touchdowns, and just four picks. He also added 152 yards and four scores on the ground. Miami was his first offer and the Canes are still his only offer. Click here for junior video.

Nick Tiano, 6-5/225, Chattanooga, TN (Baylor School) -- Playing in a run-oriented offense, Tiano finished his junior season with over 1,000 yards of total offense and 10 touchdowns. Originally from West Virginia, Tiano says he grew up a Mountaineer fan. Miami became his first offer just recently. Click here for junior video.
