Florida DE Has High Praise Of Mizzou Offer

The Missouri Tigers reputation as a school that is developing and producing big time defensive linemen that they send to the NFL continues to grow. It has helped them in their recruitment of quality D-linemen, and ShowMeMizzou.com has the latest on a Florida offer.

Last week, ShowMeMizzou.com reported that Missouri had extended a scholarship offer to 2015 DE prospect Scott Patchan 6’6” 235 Tampa (FL) Freedom. This week, Patchan spoke with ShowMeMizzou.com, and he talked about the Missouri offer, and he updated us on his recruitment.

“Missouri’s a very good school,” said Patchan. “They produce defensive linemen. I like Missouri. They had a very good year this year, with quality wins over Florida and Georgia.”

Patchan currently holds offers from Boston College, Clemson, FIU, Florida State, Kentucky, Miami (FL), Mississippi State, Missouri, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Penn State, South Florida, Tennessee, UCF, Vanderbilt, and Wake Forest.

“My recruitment is wide open right now,” explained Patchan. “I’m going to give everyone an opportunity to recruit me.”

Patchan is currently playing basketball, and he plans to run the 100 meters and 200 meters for his school’s track team in the spring.

He’s a multi-sport athlete who said that he ran a 4.53-second 40-yard dash last summer.

He’s registered a 32” vertical jump, as well as a personal best of 325 pounds in the bench press (14 reps at 225).

Patchan is going to take all of his unofficial visits later this spring, including to Missouri, and would like to make a decision this summer.
