Perryman talks about playing MLB and more

Read on to see what senior linebacker Denzel Perryman, who is getting work at middle linebacker now, is saying after the team's first couple spring practices.

On 2013:
I had a good season personally but I know there are things I can work on.

On playing inside some:
I can play pretty much both. It doesn't matter to me. Being inside, I played it my sophomore season. It's a little pressure but I'll be ready. It's something they suggested.

On spring starting:
Overall, the feeling is great. I've been here four years now. Young guys, I take them under my wing. When I came in, Sean (Spence) took me under his wing and now I'm trying to do the same.

On Raphael Kirby:
When he first came in, I took him under me. Now he knows the playbook. Last year was motivation for him to get on the field more. As long as he shows he can be on the field there should be no problem.

On the first 2 practices:
The first days guys are flying around. Guys will jump around and make tackles. It was fun, got the little rush out the way.

On Dallas Crawford moving to safety:
The first thing he told me was that you can't hit me anymore. Overall, he played it in high school so he'll be good.
